We build the software
OnPoint Group runs on.
OnPointStack is the engineering arm of OnPoint Group. Every product in the group — Pandora's Box, PlatinumPOS, FreshPOS, OnPointPOS, KaChing Payments, OnPointPulse, Jarvis on OverWatch — is designed, built, and operated by this studio. We take on a small number of external client builds each quarter.
Built in-house before it's sold.
Nothing ships to a client until we've run it ourselves. The group's eight products are the proving ground — we feel every edge case before you do.
2018
The studio started with Pandora's Box — a hospitality operating system we built because none of the off-the-shelf options worked for the operators we knew. Every product since has followed the same pattern: real problem, real operators, built in, refined through live use.

Cape Town
The studio is in Cape Town, South Africa. Remote enabled for clients in any timezone. Work is done from our own space, on our own infrastructure, by people who live with the products in production.

OnPoint Group
We sit inside a group of software brands that share a single engineering discipline. Every product uses the same payment layer (KaChing), the same AI ops layer (Jarvis on OverWatch), and the same design system (OnPointDesign). When you hire OnPointStack, you're hiring the whole group.

How we decide what to ship.
Four rules that shape every build.
Dogfood first
If we wouldn't run it inside the group, we won't ship it to you. Every pattern, every library, every tool has been tested on our own revenue first.
Boring tech wins
PHP on Xneelo. .NET on SQL Server. React where the UI needs it. Flutter where mobile needs it. Chosen for longevity, not fashion.
Operate what we build
Developers who don't carry the pager don't care about reliability the way developers who do. We run production, so we build for it.
Say no more than yes
A small, selective book of work is how we deliver on every brief. If the fit isn't right, we'll say so early.
